Meet Chef Jarad Bissell from Brio

Q. How did you get your start in cooking?

My father was a cook in the airforce and he taught me how to make eggs when i was 4. I loved it and wanted to be a chef from that point on. My first kitchen job was Burger Street USA in Grand Blanc, Michigan

How long have you worked at Brio in Southlake Town Square?

I have been at Brio for 16 years.

What is the most popular menu item you are selling right now?

Salmon Fresca is most popular.

If you had to eat one thing off of your menu every day for a whole week, what would it be?

I would eat pasta ala vodka for a week.

What do you like to cook for yourself in your home kitchen?

Brisket tacos and fried rice are my go-to at home.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do?

I love to fish and to bowl in my spare time.

What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned during this quarantine?

The most surprising thing about quarantine is how nice and generous people are when they have extra time.

What do you love most about working in Southlake Town Square?

I love the people that dine with us.
We have so many loyal guests in Southlake that make us feel loved daily.
