‘Tis the Season at The Square
November 19, 2016

“At Christmas, all roads lead home.” – Marjorie Holmes

Nothing gets us longing for the warmth of home like the holiday season. Maybe it’s the cooler temperatures (coming soon to Texas…we hope), the abundance of hot cocoa, and the presents. Or maybe it’s the caroling, the lights, and the genuine expression of gratitude on your loved ones’ faces when they open their gifts. Whatever it is about the holidays that gets you every time, we can all agree that it is the most wonderful time of the year! And nothing beats being Home for the Holidays at Southlake Town Square!

What better way to get in to the holiday spirit than by gathering with your family and witnessing a magical tree lighting? We’re kicking off the festivities this Saturday, November 19, with the city of Southlake’s Annual Home for the Holidays Tree Lighting.

This family-friendly event will begin at 4:30pm with activities like caroling, holiday crafts, letters to Santa, and a toy & food drive. Then the tree will come alive with lights for the first time this season at 6pm. Click here for more details and mark your calendars, for it is going to be a memorable night!

In this lovely season of giving, we’d also like to give back to our community and support our local small businesses on Small Business Saturday, November 26. Kick off your holiday shopping in style and celebrate the season with us at our local small businesses: Lauren James, Apricot Lane, Blue Pomegranate Gallery, Impeccable Pig, Accents, and E. Leigh’s just to name a few, where there will be some fantastic one-day sales you don’t want to miss.

For early morning fun with your little ones, come over to Brio Tuscan Grille on December 3 from 7:30 to 11am and have Breakfast with Santa! Yes, Santa is making a special trip to Southlake to have breakfast with you and your family, so don’t miss out! Spots are limited and are selling out fast.  Reservations can be made by calling Brio Tuscan Grille.

For years, my office was in the Square….. Christmas was my MOST favorite time of the year as we had the best view of the lights going up, the locals all mixing and mingling, and joy- – all around. Now, we take time to not just shop in the Square, but return to just sit outside with a coffee, soaking in the ambiance, but truly enjoying watching people from all walks of life unite together to enjoy the season. Love, love, love the Square- -and the beauty and joy it brings to all year-round but ESPECIALLY at Christmastime. #ShopLocal #Diversity #Unite #Joy #TheSquare #PeaceOnEarthGoodWillToAll #ShopSouthlake

This is my favorite time of year. Beautiful decorations and all the twinkling lights always puts a smile on my face. I love the tree lighting tradition at the Town Square to kick off the season. It’s extra festive and fun to dine and shop with plenty of Christmas spirit spread throughout! I love that there are many great stores to shop and with several restaurants within walking distance, you can take a break for some delicious food and cocktails! Wishing everyone a blessed, happy, healthy and merry Christmas!
